Welcome to West High Publishing
West High LLC is a small, independent publisher producing books with a regional appeal. The philosophy at West High is
to produce the kind of books that we all like to read -- beautiful to look at and hold, entertaining and educational. They are the kind of books that you leave out in your home to share with others, that you actually refer to for information and ideas, or that you flip through regularly just because you like them.
Some of the titles currently available through West High were created by Fran Taylor, founder and principal of West High, and published through Eclipse Press in association with Keeneland. The most recent titles, Peter Williams Retrospective: Paintings and People Dear to Me; a book about aviation in central Kentucky, Blue Grass Airport: An American Aviation Story; and ELLEN: The Little Girl Who Found Her Voice are published by West High Publishing and distributed through gift shops and booksellers primarily in the Lexington, Kentucky area. All may be purchased online through this website or our partner websites.
At West High, publishing is a passion and we endeavor to make the complex process of creating a book as enjoyable as possible. Throughout the process our eye is on the end result -- a book in which all involved will be proud and that will stand the test of time. The fact that our books sell well at retail is an added bonus.
West High founder Fran Taylor is an award-winning author based in Lexington and Sadieville, Kentucky. She brings together a talented team of editors, designers, photographers, technical advisors and printers for each title. We welcome inquiries about potential projects.
